What if there were a mathematical code buried in the Scriptures — a system where every letter is a number, every word is a sum, and certain results appear with a frequency impossible to be accidental?
That system exists. It is called gematria-o-codigo-numerico-escondido-na-biblia/" class="autolink" title="gematria">gematria. And it is not the invention of medieval mystics — it is how Hebrew has functioned since antiquity.
Every Hebrew letter has a fixed numerical value. Aleph = 1. Bet = 2. Gimel = 3. Up to Tav = 400. The same applies to Greek: Alpha = 1, Beta = 2, up to Omega = 800. When you add the values of the letters in a word, you obtain its numerical value. No secret. No magic. Pure mathematics.
The problem? The ecclesiastical tradition ignored this system for centuries — and the mystics hijacked it. The result: when someone mentions “gematria,” the immediate reaction is suspicion.
This guide recovers gematria for what it always was: a verifiable textual analysis tool.
How Hebrew Gematria Works
The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. Each carries a numerical value in the system called Mispar Gadol (standard value):
| Letter | Name | Value | Letter | Name | Value | Letter | Name | Value | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| א | Aleph | 1 | ח | Chet | 8 | ס | Samekh | 60 | ||
| ב | Bet | 2 | ט | Tet | 9 | ע | Ayin | 70 | ||
| ג | Gimel | 3 | י | Yod | 10 | פ | Pe | 80 | ||
| ד | Dalet | 4 | כ | Kaf | 20 | צ | Tsade | 90 | ||
| ה | He | 5 | ל | Lamed | 30 | ק | Qof | 100 | ||
| ו | Vav | 6 | מ | Mem | 40 | ר | Resh | 200 | ||
| ז | Zayin | 7 | נ | Nun | 50 | ש | Shin | 300 | ||
| ת | Tav | 400 |
The pattern is simple: 1–9, 10–90 (tens), 100–400 (hundreds). No variation. No interpretation. One value per letter.
Practical example: יהוה (yhwh) = Yod(10) + He(5) + Vav(6) + He(5) = 26

The Values the Biblical Text Highlights
Certain numerical values do not appear by accident in the biblical text. They form a network of convergences that the forensic investigation maps:
666 — The Enigma of DES 13:18
The most famous number in the Bible. DES 13:18 commands: “Calculate the number of the beast.” The priestly crown of Moses — נֵזֶר הַקֹּדֶשׁ (nezer hakodesh) — sums to exactly 666. This is not a theory. It is a verifiable calculation.
The full investigation: Nezer HaKodesh — The Priestly Crown That Sums to 666
888 — Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) in Greek
The Greek name of Jesus — Ἰησοῦς — sums to 888 in isopsephia: I(10) + η(8) + σ(200) + ο(70) + υ(400) + ς(200) = 888. While the beast bears 666, the name that the Unveiling (apokálypsis) places in direct opposition sums to 888.
elohim-convergence">375 — The Solomon/ha-Elohim Convergence
Here is where forensic gematria shows its power. The name שְׁלֹמֹה (Shlomoh, Solomon) sums to 375 in Hebrew. The expression הָאֱלֹהִים (ha-Elohim) appears exactly 375 times in the Old Testament.
The man who built the House of Elohim carries in his name the exact frequency of the designation. This is convergence, not coincidence.
The full analysis: The 375 Convergence — Shlomoh and ha-Elohim
26 — The Tetragram yhwh
The most basic and fundamental value: יהוה = 26. The name that appears more than 6,800 times in the Hebrew Bible carries the simplest possible numerical value — the sum of four letters that no translation preserves.
358 — Messiah and Serpent
One of the most disturbing convergences: מָשִׁיחַ (Mashiach, Messiah) and נָחָשׁ (Nachash, Serpent) both sum to 358. Two opposing concepts. The same numerical value. Gematria does not interpret — it presents the data. What you do with it is your decision.
All these values can be verified in real time at the Hebrew Gematria Calculator — with 80+ pre-calculated biblical terms.
Forensic Gematria vs. Mystical Gematria
And here is where the story turns. Because there is a brutal difference between two uses of gematria — and confusing them is exactly what tradition wants you to do.
Mystical gematria takes modern names and tries to force them to reach 666. Nero, the Pope, Hitler, Bill Gates, barcodes. Anything goes. The method has no criterion, no textual source, no verification.
Forensic gematria does the opposite. It starts from the biblical text — from the verifiable Hebrew and Greek codices — and checks whether the numerical values of the original expressions converge to the numbers that the text itself highlights.
Nezer hakodesh sums to 666 not because someone forced it — but because Hebrew has fixed numerical values, the expression is in the public codices (WLC), and DES 13:18 commands that precisely that number be calculated.

Greek Isopsephia — The New Testament System
The same principle exists in Greek, where it is called isopsephia. The 24-letter Greek alphabet follows the pattern: Alpha(1) to Theta(9), Iota(10) to Koppa(90), Rho(100) to Omega(800).
Key NT values in isopsephia:
| Term | Greek | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Jesus | Ἰησοῦς | 888 |
| Christ (Christos) | Χριστός | 1,480 |
| Logos | Λόγος | 373 |
| Theos | Θεός | 284 |
| Agape (Love) | Ἀγάπη | 93 |
| Pneuma (Spirit) | Πνεῦμα | 576 |
| Ekklesia (Assembly) | Ἐκκλησία | 294 |
All verifiable at the Gematria Calculator — which calculates both Hebrew and Greek.
Numerical Rarity as Signature
When a number appears only 4 times in 31,287 verses, that is not frequency — that is a signature. The rarity of 666 in the biblical canon is statistically significant. It is not a random number scattered throughout the text. It is a precise marker, positioned at strategic points.

Solomon, Wisdom, and the 666 Talents
The connection between Solomon and 666 is the most neglected in all biblical exegesis. DES 13:18 opens with “Here is wisdom.” The only biblical figure who links wisdom and 666 is Solomon — who received exactly 666 talents of gold per year.
The Queen of Sheba tested Solomon with riddles. DES 13:18 is, by definition, a riddle. Coincidence?

Gematria is not mysticism. It is not divination. It is the mathematics of the codices — verifiable, public, irrefutable.
The question is not whether the numbers are there. They are. The question is: what do you do when you discover that they say exactly what tradition does not want you to hear?
Each article above presents the raw data. The calculator is open. The codices are public. Verify it yourself.
